Temperature effects on the point defects formation in [111] W by neutron induced collision cascade

Tungsten is used as plasma-facing wall in ITER where subjected to extreme operating conditions. In this work, we study the formation damage [111] crystalline W by neutron bombardment temperature range of 300–900 K which important for designing next generation fusion reactors. Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations are performed at a primary knock-on atoms (PKA) energy 1 keV within Gaussian Approximation Potential (GAP) framework. The analysis induced done Fingerprinting and Visualization Analyzer Defects (FaVAD) based on rotation invariant mapping local atomic neighborhoods allowing extract, identify visualize defect dynamically during after collision cascades. evaluation allows classify several types quantify evolution function time initial sample temperature. We found that production Frenkel pair increases due thermal activated mechanisms.
